Nominate A Volunteer

To the Editor:

Do you know a deserving volunteer? The United Way of Northern Fairfield County wants to recognize a volunteer who has unselfishly made a difference in our community. The Forrest C. Palmer Community Service Award will be presented at the United Way’s annual awards dinner on April 13.

Criteria for nomination are: a person who may work behind the scenes and is an “unsung hero”; someone who can be described as a “doer”; someone who has been involved as a volunteer for a number of years and has had an impact on the Greater Danbury community

To nominate someone for this award, send the United Way your name and phone number along with the name, address, and phone number of the person you are nominating. In addition, describe the nominee and the organizations(s) the nominee has been involved in, including their approximate number of years of involvement and some achievements that should be recognized. Please be sure to specifically address the ways in which the nominee meets the award’s criteria.

Return nominations to Kim Connolly at the United Way of Northern Fairfield County, 85 West Street, Danbury CT 06810 or kim.connolly@uwnfc.org or FAX 790-5182 by February 14.

Our community is blessed with many volunteers who work daily behind the scenes to make our towns a better place to live. We hope you will take this opportunity to nominate one of them to receive recognition for their good work and to inspire others to follow in their footsteps.

Sincerely,

Kim Connolly
