Basketry Workshop

WASHINGTON — Registration is due by July 3 for “Corn-Husk Basketry,” a workshop being offered at The Institute of American Indian Studies, at 38 Curtis Road, on Saturday, July 10, from 11 am to 4 pm. Participants will have the opportunity to work with the renowned basket maker and collector Carol Hart.

Participants will make a corn-husk bowl or salt-bottle in the Iroquois tradition as taught to Ms Hart by Del Logan (Onondaga), a longtime friend of the museum. Fee is $75 and reservations are needed by July 3; call 860-868-0518. Connecticut educators can earn .5 CEU for participating.
