Antiques Show Returns This Weekend
Newtown Historical Society will present its 20th Annual Spring Antiques Show on Sunday, March 6, from 10 am to 4 pm, at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street (Route 25) in Newtown.
The antiques show will be full of a number of returning favorite dealers and some exciting new dealers. The Newtown Historical Society Antiques Show promises to bring quality antiques from highly regarded dealers.
Returning this year will be Jim Murphy of J&J Murphy Americana, Kim Watkins/Rooster River Antiques, Felicia Wade, Shelley Smith, Steve and Anne Schwartz of F. Bandersnatch Antiques, Jamie Heuschkel of Hirsh Antiques of Pleasant Valley, Susanne Edgerlyâs, and Beverly Dutton Antiques, among others.
Admission to the show is $5 with the proceeds of the fundraiser benefiting the historical societyâs free public programs as well as the preservation of the Matthew Curtiss House Museum and its collections. The circa 1750 Curtiss House, located across the street from the antiques show, will be opened during the day from 10 am to 4 pm for a free demonstration of âScratch Eggsâ by Sheila Tintera and tours by costumed guides.
