A Holiday Kickoff By Local Garden Club

WOODBURY — The Pomperaug Valley Garden Club will kick off the holiday season on Tuesday, November 9, at the Old Town Hall.

Julie Lapham, of Southborough, Mass., will begin the afternoon with a floral design program called “Heralding the Holidays” at 1 pm.

The owner of a home-based wedding and party business, Ms Lapham is also a National Council of State Garden Clubs Master Judge and an approved flower arranging judge for the Garden Club of America.

The program will be followed by sandwiches, cakes and punch.

Also, Hamrah’s Oriental Rugs will “Deck the Hall” with a display of magnificent carpets. Theme baskets and the floral designs will be raffled.
