DANBURY â Danbury Hospital will sponsor the Fourth Annual Henry Blansfield, MD, Seminar on Alcohol & Drug Education Tuesday, May 6, in the John C. Creasy Center for Health Education Conference Room at Danbury Hospital. The meeting, named for Henry Blansfield, MD, a retired Danbury Hospital surgeon, starts at 7 pm.
Park free in the Blue Visitorâs parking lot, Hospital Avenue entrance.
The lecture features certified addiction specialist Peter Rostenberg, MD, an attending physician in the Danbury Hospital Department of Medicine, Section of Internal Medicine, a private practice physician in New Fairfield, and medical director for Connecticut Counseling, addressing the hallmarks of alcohol and substance abuse dependency and effective education and treatment programs.
Joining Dr. Rostenberg as a speaker is Peter Rockholz, MSSW, deputy commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS). He will discuss access to substance abuse treatment programs available in the state.
Charles Herrick, MD, chairman, Danbury Hospital Department of Psychiatry, will serve as the programâs moderator.
