Librarians Dedicated To Children

To the Editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the librarians at the C.H. Booth Library for their dedication to the programs for our children of Newtown. We have been visiting the library with our three children for many years and are always amazed at the information, activities, and assistance we receive when searching for a book, a fun activity, or even just a puzzle.

The ladies specifically in the Children’s Department have always offered some light conversation, an insight on a new book, and a stimulating yet calming atmosphere for our children. The area is always kept clean, the books, puzzles, and puppets are fresh and new, and the computers and movies are up to date. Most specifically, we enjoy all the story times made available to the children. Regardless of the age of your child, there is a fun group to join for a book or two, a new song, or a fun craft. The ladies consistently bring their insight and energy to the program and are a delightful group of educators.

Their time and effort is much appreciated and we hope that their programs will continue to provide a fun and educational outlet for our children and a wonderful introduction to the glorious world of reading. Thank you, ladies, for all you do!
