Town Historian Will Introduce His New Book In Easton
EASTON â The Historical Society of Easton will hosts a lecture by Newtown Town Historian Dan Cruson on Thursday, January 14, at 7:30 pm, in the community room of Easton Library.
Mr Cruson will present a lecture about his newly released book, Stratford West Woods and Everett Road: The Untold Story. His lecture will reveal the rich history of this unique section of town, forged with an identity that is markedly different from the rest of the town right down to the present.
Learn about the Loyalists during the Revolution and what happened to two upstanding citizens and their estates when residents feared they had gone over to the enemy. Encounter a new understanding of Eastonâs smaller industries in this section of town and get the facts about a 20th Century murder committed on this historic road.
There will be ample time for questions raised by Mr Crusonâs research and presentation. Copies of his new book will be available for purchase.
Admission to the lecture is $5 (free for members of The Historical Society of Easton).
Easton Public Library is at 691 Morehouse Road; call 203-261-0134.
