Anne C. Tausek of Newtown died November 15. Born in New Rochelle, N.Y., she was the daughter of John McCormick and Margaret McGill, who emigrated from County Antrim, Ireland in the early 1900s.
A lifelong gardener, Mrs Tausek was legendary for her green thumb and ability to create beautiful landscapes wherever she went. Many of her plantings still thrive today in the gardens of family members.
She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and aunt, and is survived by her loving family, Arthur and Jennifer Tausek of North Kingstown, R.I.; Nicholas Tausek of Bowling Green, Ky.; Peter Tausek of Medford, Mass.; Margaret and Joseph Italiano of Danbury; John, Catherine, Megan, and Brendan McCormick of Rosendale, N.Y.; Susan Italiano of Orange County, Calif.; Lisa, Bruce, Zachary, and Emily Taylor of New Fairfield; and Kathryn Italiano of Port Saint Lucie, Fla. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Tausek, and son, Brian Tausek.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held November 18. Burial followed in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, New Rochelle, N.Y.
