Antiques Show Was A Success
Antiques Show Was A Success
To the Editor:
The Newtown Historical Society held its 15th annual antiques show this past Sunday, one of our primary fund-raisers. I am very grateful to report it was a success, and I would like to thank the exhibitors and patrons who participated, without whom we would have had no event.
As with any fund-raiser, a tremendous amount of planning and effort goes into bringing the event together. Sincere thanks to Nancy Taylor, our show chairperson, for all her hard work and meticulous attention to detail. Special thanks to Mark Fries for his generous help and John Renjilian for all his assistance. Additionally, I would like to express appreciation to the trustees, docents and society members who gave their time to work at the show at Matthew Curtiss House. This combined effort made the day flow smoothly and greatly contributed to our overall success.
I look forward to seeing everyone next March at our 16th annual show.
Sincerely,
Elin F. Hayes
