Danbury Hospital Plans Medical Town Meetings

DANBURY — Danbury Hospital’s Medical Town Meetings, a series of free monthly community health and wellness lectures, will continue this year beginning with a program on heart attack and gender differences on Monday, February 13.

Other programs include teenage behavior, February 20; pre-pregnancy planning and the journey to parenthood, March 13; nutrition and disease prevention, March 20; good stress/bad stress and depression, April 10; early detection and prevention of colon cancer, April 17; snoring and sleep disorders, May 8; women’s health during and beyond menopause, May 15; skin cancer prevention, education, and screening, May 22, 23, and 24; and living wills, advance directives, and health care decision-making as we go (dates to be announced).

The free programs include prize drawings, giveaways, screenings and/or demonstrations, and light refreshments.

The programs are held from 7 to 8:30 pm in the hospital’s John C. Creasy Center for Health Education auditorium.
