Museum Training For Teachers
WATERBURY â The Mattatuck Museum will offer a free week-long teacherâs institute on Integrating Art 7 Technology, July 16 through 20, from 9 am to 2 pm. The five-day training, open to teachers of all grade levels in any discipline, especially art, social studies, and language arts, will include assessing group skills, how to select artwork for the classroom, search for online sources, and using computer software to create lesson plans combining art and technology.
Nina Cherubino, museum education coordinator, and Christine Jewell, museum program manager, will facilitate the institute. Participants may bring a brown bag lunch or purchase lunch at the museumâs Exhibition Café, Tuesday through Friday.
