The Newtown Girl Scouts wish to thank everyone for making this year’s Labor Day Weekend Coffee Break such a huge success! The Coffee Break held this past weekend from Friday through Monday evening helped support travelers, 24 hours a day, during this period. Girls Scouts of all ages helped serve coffee, donuts, cold drinks and a new add-on to this year’s menu, thanks to Bagelman of Newtown, bagels and cream cheese! This new addition became a big hit among the late night and early morning travelers.

We wish to especially thank the following companies and sponsors for their continued participation and support:

Jim Edwards, William Trudeau, Jr, Fred Pendergast, Sr, Dunkin’ Donuts, Newtown Stop & Shop, Mr Patel – Shell Gas Station, Mott’s Corporation, Newtown Highway Department, Newtown Parks & Rec, the Chaloux family, the Cole family, Melvin Signs, Costco, Big Y, the Crevier family, Newtown town services, Newtown Car Care, the Nordstrom family, HRH Insurance Brokers, Bullard-Havens Tech, the Cernick family, Blue Colony Diner, Bagelman, Donut Inn, Subway, and all the dedicated scouts, leaders, and parents that volunteered to help make this event so successful.

We would also like to thank the committee in making this year’s Coffee Break go so smoothly: Norma Hays, Audrey DeBlasio, Cathy Robinson, Kathy Brophy, Reggie Cernick, Lynn Mary Dillon.

Thanks to all...
