To the Editor:

As a high school student, I support Rebekah Harriman- Stites in her candidacy for Connecticut’s 106th State Legislative District because Newtown needs new and effective people in Hartford that really represent everyone in Newtown. I went door-to-door with Rebekah this summer, and many voters have said that they want change in our current state government that we are not seeing now.

Going into my freshman year just two months ago, I have found that other students also feel that Newtown needs a stronger representative who will advocate for what we believe in. Rebekah serves on the Board of Education, and she can promote the strong school systems that the state needs. She is very enthusiastic and has dedicated her life to helping the others through her work with nonprofits. Along with many other great attributes, Rebekah has the leadership skills that Newtown needs.
