To the Editor:

I wholeheartedly endorse Rebekah Harriman-Stites for State Representative. I’ve had the privilege of knowing Rebekah for the past few years, and I have admired her hard work and dedication to the Newtown community. I can honestly say that Rebekah’s values are my values.

As a Newtown resident and public school teacher, I have seen firsthand the devastating impact that gun violence has had on our community. I know that Rebekah supports commonsense gun safety laws that will make our community safer. We need a strong voice to lead on this issue. Rebekah is that voice.

While serving on the Board of Education, Rebekah has proven that she is deeply committed to our public schools and our children. I know that she will fight to make our public schools the best they can be. Our schoolchildren need an advocate who truly cares about their educational needs. Rebekah is that advocate.

I am proud to live in Newtown, but I know that we can do better. We need to elect someone who will fight for our community and our values. Rebekah is that person. I urge you to vote for Rebekah Harriman-Stites for State Representative on November 6.
