Next Generation Of The Clancy Family Will Perform

A Special Christmas Songs & Stories Concert

FAIRFIELD — For anyone who grew up listening to the music of The Clancy Brothers, The Shamrock Traditional Irish Music Society has a great treat in store for the holiday season: The Clancy Legacy Irish Christmas Songs & Stories.

Featuring Robbie O’Connel, Aoife Clancy and Donal Clancy, with special guest George Keith, the concert will be performed Saturday, December 2, at 8 pm, at Ludlowe Middle School, 689 Unquowa Road.

The performance will offer a unique re-creation of the legendary Clancy Brothers Christmas shows, performed by no less than the next generation of Clancys. Each a well-known and highly accomplished star in their own right, the younger Clancys first performed as a trio this past summer at the Catskills Irish Arts Week, where they were an immediate sensation.

This performance will be their debut Christmas show which, like their predecessors, will undoubtedly become a season classic.

The concert is being hosted by the Shamrock Traditional Irish Music Society, and made possible in part with support from Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism and Culture Ireland.
