BROOKFIELD â Due to the winter storm of October 29-30, opening night of Cabaret by The Brookfield Theatre for the Arts has been postponed by one week. The show will now open Thursday, November 10, and continue weekends to December 2.
Performances are Thursday through Saturday evenings at 8, and Sunday afternoons at 2. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students with ID.
Ticketholders should have been notified by now with instruction for changing their ticket dates if they were affected by the storm. If you have not yet been contacted by the theater, call 203-775-0023.
The Brookfield production â with music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, based on the book by Joe Masteroff â is being directed by Michael Burnett. The show is intended for mature audiences.
The Saturday, November 12, performance will be a special benefit performance for WeCAHR, which provides advocacy services to children and adults with disabilities in the greater Danbury area. Tickets for that evening are $50 each, and include the performance along with pre-show wine and appetizers and live music. A silent auction will also be offered. All proceeds from the evening will benefit the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
