Virginia Amoroso, 81, of Trumbull, beloved wife of Domenic Amoroso, Jr, died peacefully at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford, August 12, with her loving family by her side. She was born Virginia Alice Huntley to Evelyn (Seeley) Huntley and Ralph M. Huntley in Bridgeport.

In addition to her husband of 61 years, three daughters, including Michelle Amoroso of Newtown; a sister; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews survive Mrs Amoroso. Four siblings predeceased her.

She was retired from Aetna Insurance Company, where she worked as a transcribing secretary for 20 years. She had been a member of the Connecticut Peacemakers Quilting Guild and the Trumbull Gardening Club for many years. Her hobbies included quilting, sewing, poetry writing, gardening, and visiting her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her loving and peaceful nature and will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.

Funeral services took place August 16. Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
