To the Editor:

I have never been so disappointed in the leadership of our country. The once great Republican Party has destroyed years of environmental, safety, health, and economic progress, and supports a President and a Supreme Court Justice who have both lied and have both been accused of sexually assaulting multiple women. The Republicans have accepted foreign interference in our elections and have used threats and misinformation as political tools. Democrats have been forced into partisan battles over voting rights and fundamental human rights.

The partisan bitterness of Washington has increasingly affected our state government as well. I will not stand quietly by and let our beautiful state and our glorious country be torn apart. I pledge to vote for Democratic candidates, who are not afraid to discuss the issues, who listen to all sides, and who will preserve the rights and safety of all of Connecticut’s residents. Let’s keep Connecticut blue, safe, and sane for ourselves, for our children, and for our community.
