Support Rebekah Harriman-Stites
To the Editor:
I hope you will join me in supporting Rebekah Harriman-Stites as Newtown’s State Representative of Connecticut’s 106th district on November 6. Rebekah is a dedicated person to both her family and her community. She was a leader of Middle Gate’s PTA and is a volunteer for her son’s wrestling team. Rebekah was elected to the Board of Education in 2015 and is currently the vice chairman. She founded Newtown Forward, a nonpartisan advocacy group.
Newtown Forward’s mission reads in part, “We are a group of motivated Newtown residents convinced that the only way to build the resistance is from the ground up. We are the change we wish to see in the world.” Rebekah is a motivated, smart, and passionate Newtown resident. She will work her hardest to get things done for Newtown. She is the change we need to see for our community in Hartford. Please vote for Rebekah on November 6.
My comments are my own and not on behalf of the Board of Selectmen, of which I am a member.
Sincerely,
Maureen Crick Owen
