SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The 16th annual New York Farm Show will be held Thursday, February 22, through Saturday, February 24, featuring more than 400 agri-businesses gathered in five buildings at the New York State Fairgrounds.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. â The 16th annual New York Farm Show will be held Thursday, February 22, through Saturday, February 24, featuring more than 400 agri-businesses gathered in five buildings at the New York State Fairgrounds.
Hours will be 8:30 am to 4 pm daily.
The latest and best farm equipment, technology, inputs and services â just in time for spring planting â will be on display.
âWe at New York Farm Show care about this stateâs number one industry - agriculture,â said Scott Grigor, Farm Show manager. âFarmers who want to keep up on the latest piece of equipment, tillage management or whatever their farm operation needs can find it at the New York Farm Show. This is our 16th year and we are going strong to service the farmers needs.â
While you explore modern age technology, your children between the ages of 4 and 13 can learn about farm safety. In a special Farm Safety Days for Kids program, conducted by the New York Center for Agriculture Medicine and Health (NYCANH) on February 22, children ages 8 through 13 will learn about animal safety, small equipment safety, chemical safety and First on the Scene/First Aid.
Younger children, those between the ages of 4 and 7, can view a farm safety puppet show, identify hazards on a toy farm and color posters and place mats on an art area.
New York Farm Show will also sponsor its 10th annual Toy Show Auction, which will be held on Friday, Feb 23, at 6 pm in the Empire Room of the Arts and Homes Building. More than 250 pieces will be auctioned, with proceeds going to benefit New York FFA.
