Festival Of Trees Was A Success

To The Editor,

I just wanted to write a quick note to thank all who contributed to the success of this year’s Festival of Trees. Thank you to all the contributors who created such beautiful holiday items.

Thank you to the Boy and Girl Scout troops who spent countless hours and efforts working on their beautiful trees. Thank you to the Girl/Boy Scout sponsors, who gave directly to the Family Counseling Center, allowing us to give away 16 wonderful trees to Newtown’s children. Thank you to the hundreds of people who came to the Festival of Trees and admired, marveled, and bid on the wonderful holiday items.

Congratulations to those who had winning bids, and to the children who received door prize trees.

Lastly, thank you to the workers, both adult and young adult, who spent hours organizing, setting up, hosting, and breaking-down the 1999 Festival of Trees. All of your help contributed to the Family Counseling Center’s fundraiser. Newtown truly is the greatest place to be.
