All paces require approved protective headgear (safety helmets) and suitable riding footwear (boot with heel). There will be four divisions (hunt, pleasure or hacking, junior and western) and all paces will be held rain or shine. Western teams must have at least one western rider and junior teams must have at least one junior rider. All fences will have go-arounds and all paces will award ribbons for first through 10th place. Riders can accumulate points towards series awards.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 10 â The Bedford Riding Lanes Association will present its Fall Pace on Sunday, September 10, from 8 am to 12 noon, at the John Jay Homestead on Route 22 in Katonah, New York. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required. Water is available, but bring extra hay. A buffet luncheon will be served from 12 noon to 2 pm and awards will follow. SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 â The Middlebury Bridle Land Association will host its Fall Hunter Pace on Sunday, September 24, at Larkinâs Farm on South Street in Middlebury. Ribbons will be awarded in four divisions and all jumps have go-arounds. Cost is $40 for MBLA members ($50 for non-members) and $30 for junior members ($40 for non-members). SUNDAY, OCTOBER 1 â The Lewisboro Horsemanâs Association will host its Fall Country Pace on Sunday, October 1, at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Route 121, in Cross River, New York. Time is 8 am to 12 noon, with a buffet luncheon to be served from 11 am to 2 pm. There are no jumps. Cost is $45 for LHA member ($55 for non-member) and $25 for LHA junior member ($30 for non-member). The fee includes entry for towing vehicles, trailers and horses. SUNDAY, OCTOBER 15 â The Greenwich Riding & Trails Association will hold its Hunter Pace on Sunday, October 15, at Hughes/Wonham Field in Greenwich. Start time is 8 am and cut-off time is 12 noon. SUNDAY, OCTOBER 29 â The Newtown Bridle Lands Association will hold its annual Pumpkin Pace on Sunday, October 29, from 8 am to 12 noon, on Mount Nebo Road. Hard hats are required (no exceptions) and horse must be in good physical condition (NBLA officials have the authority to disqualify any animal that is in distress). SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 10 â The Millbrook Hunt Hunter Pace will be held on Sunday, September 10, at Fraleigh Hill Road in Millbrook, New York. Teams of two or three members will start at 10 am, rain or shine, with the last team leaving at 1 pm. Proper cub-hunting attire and hard hats required. Luncheon provided. SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 17 â The official centennial hunter pace of the Smithtown Hunt Club, Inc., will be held on Sunday, September 17, from 8:30 am to 1 pm, in Old Westbury, New York. Teams of two or three riders will compete in several different divisions. Proper attire required. All fences have go-arounds. Lunch is included for participants ($15 for non-riders), 11:30 am to 2 pm. Cost of the pace is $25 per junior rider, $35 per affiliated hunt rider, and $60 per unaffiliated hunt rider. SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 â The Old Chatham Hunt Club will hold its annual pace on Sunday, September 24, from 10 am to 1 pm, at Highland Farm in Old Chatham, New York. Several different divisions for junior and adult riders will feature trophy points as well as coolers and ribbons. Informal hunting attire and hard hats required (no dogs, please). SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22 â The Rombout Hunt, Inc., Hunter Pace will be held Sunday, October 22, at 10 am, at Gone Away Farm on Browning Road in Hyde Park, New York. All fences (a combination of fences, chicken coops, barways and stone walls) have go-arounds. There will be a separate division for juniors. Hunting attire with hard hats is required. SUNDAY, OCTOBER 29 â The Windy Hollow Hunter Pace will be held Sunday, October 29, from 10 am to 1 pm, at Hunts End Farm on Wolfpit Road in Sussex, New Jersey. SEPTEMBER 24: The Parish of Christ's Church of Easton and The Exchange Club of Easton are co-sponsors this year of the Easton Parish Hunter Pace which was last held in September 1998. The date for this year's event is Sunday, September 24. Proceeds from the event go to support numerous charities. Emphasis this year will be on organizations that work to prevent child abuse and to care for those who have suffered abuse. Starting times are still available. SEPTEMBER 10: The 4-H Nutmeg Benefit Horse Show will be held Sunday, September 10, at the Agricultural Extension Center on Stony Hill Road in Bethel. There will be several different divisions from Kentucky Hunter to Junior Western. Classes start at 8:30 am and will run through mid-afternoon. Food will be available on the grounds.
