Louis Barocsi

Louis Barocsi, 86, of Trumbull, died October 1 in the West Haven Veterans Hospital. He was the father of Ann Phillips of Newtown.

Mr Barocsi was born in Bronx, N.Y., and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the US Army. He was a member of the VFW in Trumbull. Mr Barocsi was a retired cabinetmaker for the Fairfield Lumber Company.

Survivors include three sons, Alexander Barocsi of Trumbull, Larry Barocsi of Arizona, and Joseph Barocsi of Vermont; two other daughters, Virginia Cadiues of Shelton and Joyce Weed of Florida; and many brothers, sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A burial service with complete military honors was held on October 5 at the Rocky Hill Veterans Cemetery in Middletown.

The Lesko-Miner Funeral Home, 155 Main Street (Route 25), Monroe, was entrusted with arrangements.
