Carmen John Ambrogio
Carmen John Ambrogio, 73, of Greenwich, died on February 4 at Greenwich Hospital.
He was the father of Anthony Ambrogio of Sandy Hook.
Born in Greenwich, May 27, 1927, he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary (Curto) Ambrogio. He has been a resident of Greenwich for 35 years.
He was a foreman at the Apawamis Club. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, enjoyed bowling, golfing, and gardening, and was a sports enthusiast. He was a handyman who could fix anything. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his seven grandchildren.
He was married to Ella Ann (Carriero) Ambrogio of Greenwich on October 10, 1948, at Holy Rosary Church in Port Chester, N.Y.
He is survived, besides his wife and son, by another son, John Ambrogio of Greenwich; one daughter, Denise Warzoha of Greenwich; two brothers, Frank Ambrogio of Greenwich and Dom Ambrogio of Redding; a sister, Marion Barrella of Norwalk; and seven grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held February 8 at St Roch Roman Catholic Church. Burial followed in St Mary Cemetery, Greenwich.
