I am associated with the New England Academy of Theatre (NEAT) that presented a one-act play festival in New Haven during June. I was a theater major at Southern Connecticut State College in New Haven and I also studied in New York City.

Our band is giving a concert on Saturday, October 30, at the Playhouse On the Green in Bridgeport. Everyone is invited to come in costume and there will be movies, food, a bar, and a party after the show. It will be a real family Halloween night.
How Long In Newtown: We have lived in Monroe and Fairfield, but now we live in Sandy Hook on Still Hill Road off Route 34. Weâve been there ten years.
Biggest Change You Have Seen In Town: The good thing is that there hasnât been too much change. Itâs still a beautiful town ââ the same as when I moved here. Everyone is friendly. I like to support the community. We have 20 acres of land and live next door to what used to be the Kazan property that the state has bought for open space. I really like the way the townspeople are mostly concerned for the environment, and I support the work that the Newtown Forest Association does to preserve land from development.
Family: My husband Bob and I have two children, Cole, who is 5½, and Kayla, who is 2½. Bob works in Darien, which is a commute, but we wonât leave Newtown.
Hobbies: If I can get into my garden I try to be there. I also try to mountain bike in the area.
Pets: We have seven chickens, two bunnies, two dogs, two fish, and two cats. Itâs sort of like Noahâs Ark at our house.
Favorite TV Show, Movie, Book: I love the Harry Potter books. Iâm an avid fan and, of course, I saw the movie Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban right away. I liked the movie but I have to admit I was a bit disappointed in the new Dumbledore. He just doesnât have the presence that Richard Harris had.
Organizations: I just want to say that our Newtown Police Department is the best. They do a standup job. I started the Neighborhood Watch program in my neighborhood and they responded, and Iâm grateful for their support. They try hard and do what they can.
Most Vivid Memory About Newtown: It was when I met my husband on Lake Zoar. A friend had a party and it was love at first sight. That was 18 years ago. Weâve been married 14 years now.
Favorite Vacation Spot: We like to go to the Hamptons on Long Island for the Fourth of July, and to Venice on the west coast of Florida in the winter.
Personal Philosophy: I try to make positive choices. If you choose to be happy, you will be happy. Instead of yelling, I try to find the good sides to situations. Make the best of things.
