Working Together

To the Editor:

The oath of office ceremony at Saturday morning was one of the nicest affairs I have ever attended in Newtown. Edmond Town Hall was festive and sparkling with red, white, and blue and red poinsettias. Judge Bill Lavery and Judge Margo Hall did the honors and Tommy Santinello and Joey Maggio passed out programs in their tuxedos. Everyone pitched in with refreshments.

Now that the partisan elections are over, it was good to see Republicans, Democrats, and Independent Party people all working together — after all, in the final analysis, we are all Newtowners working for the benefit of all Newtown.
