ak/lsb set 4/7 #734538
NEW YORK CITY â The Broadway Mall association has set Saturday, April 12, for its 18th Annual Upper Broadway Spring Celebration on Broadway between 110th and 116th Streets, from 11 am to 6 pm. More than 400 artists, craftspersons and antiques dealers will exhibit their wares, and community nonprofit organizations will offer exhibits. There will be 32 food stalls representing the West Sideâs ethnic diversity.
The Broadway Mall Association works to improve the quality of life along Broadway and adjacent streets through cultivation and general care of the planted malls from 59th to 168th Streets.
The festival is co-sponsored by the Broadway Presbyterian Church, which will use the proceeds from the festival to further its community work; by the Interfaith Assembly on Homelessness and Housing, a coalition of religious organizations, which is a self-help program for homeless New Yorkers; and the Upper West Side Recycling Center, which has been educating people regarding recycling and has promoted recycling for the past 29 years.
The festival is free and open to all. For information, 212-764-6330.
