CHICAGO, ILL. — The International Vintage Poster Fair will offer showgoers a first-class ticket to explore the “Great Cities of the World” when it returns on March 28 and presents its feature exhibition. Guests will enjoy original vintage posters highlighting the more intriguing places in the world, in addition to the popular genres represented each year at the fair. The Poster Fair will be held at the Chicago Cultural Center, 77 East Randolph, through March 30.

The International Vintage Poster Fair features 25-plus dealers from across the United States, Canada, Europe, Israel and China, offering more than 10,000 original vintage posters, including examples that highlight the culture and art from post-World War I through the 1960s. These European and American original vintage posters are among the finest examples of the designer’s vision and represent many eras, including the Industrial & Atomic Age, Midcentury Modern and Art Deco.

In addition to the tour of the “Great Cities of the World,” the Poster Fair will feature posters of every genre, including entertainment, film, military, sports, travel, food and product advertising. Artists represented include many great masters of the late-Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries, such as Toulouse-Lautrec, Cassandre, Cappiello, Leupin, Maurer, Leslie Ragan and more. Members of the International Vintage Poster Dealers Associate vet all posters for authenticity.

The Evening Associates of the Art Institute of Chicago will host a benefit preview party at the fair on Friday from 5 to 9 pm. In additional to getting a first glimpse at the posters available at this year’s event, a special lecture, wine and hors d’oeuvres and a raffle for an original vintage poster will on tap.
