Senior Gold Lacrosse Team Wins

Newtown’s Senior Gold lacrosse team defeated John Jay Senior Black 8-6 this past week. Newtown was ready to play and came out strong the first quarter, scoring five goals and picking up another two the second quarter. Ground ball attack by Christian Morlock, Charlie Fletcher, and Kris Whelan helped keep the ball in Newtown’s possession. A team effort kept John Jay scoreless in the second, leading to a 7-2 score at the half. Four goals by Jared Pearson, three by Colin Smalkais, and one by Nick Genovese contributed to another Newtown win.
