Irene G. Oleynik, 75, wife of the late Joseph Oleynik of 88 Main Street, Danbury, formerly of Newtown, died June 24 in Danbury Hospital.
She is survived by one son, Keith Simmons, and one daughter, Gail Luf, both of Newtown.
She was born in Fairfield, December 27, 1925, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Kovac) Kish. She was formerly married to the late John Simmons.
She is also survived by one brother, Julius Dish of Fairfield; two sisters, Emma Pintek of Fairfield and Marge Brecklin of Stratford; and two grandchildren, Amanda Burkey and Joshua Luf.
Funeral services were held June 28 from the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, and at St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown, for a Mass of Christian Burial.
Interment was in St Rose Cemetery.
