Put On Those Socks!
Put On Those
Socks!
To the Editor:
I was at a medical office today (March 7). While I was waiting I observed a woman and small child (one year or younger). The weather is nice today, but still only about 50 degrees. The woman had on a coat, but had no coat, hat, or even socks on the child. I was amazed and appalled.
Parents, keep your children warm! The little ones canât tell you if theyâre cold. If you have a jacket on, the kid needs one too! And those poor little bare feet. I donât care if itâs only between the car and the office or the car and the house â put socks on them! And no whining that you canât keep the socks on them, thatâs your job as a parent or caretaker.
On another matter, I must comment on Donald Ramseyâs Letter to the Editor in the March 7 issue. He states, âThe best and brightest public servants will find new opportunities elsewhere.â Well, a very large portion of our âbest and brightestâ donât even live in Newtown. Wonder why? Maybe they canât afford the taxes?
