Town Players To Offer Special 'Menace' Reading

The Town Players of Newtown will present a special reading of Menace at The Little Theatre on Sunday, April 10, at 2 pm.Menace tells the story of Tyreese, a child who has fallen between the cracks. Abandoned by his foster parents and lost in the juvenile justice system, Tyreese learns of violence and hate from the only person who has taken an interest in him. Menace is the tragic tale of society's blind spot.Menace will feature the talents of Matt Austin, Christopher Bird, Brian DeToma, Timothy Huebenthal and Jim O'Rielly.newtownplayers.org.

Written by an inmate of Garner Correctional Institute who goes by the pen name Marquis,

Directed by Elizabeth Young,

Tickets are $10 (free for members of Town Players), and reservations are recommended. Attendees are invited to stay after the performance for a Q&A with the director and actors.
