Past Master Of America St Johnâs Lodge
Frank Pollard, 87, of Stratford, beloved husband of Louise (Houle) Pollard and the late Dorothy (Hall) Pollard, died February 5 in the Masonic Home, Wallingford. Mr Pollard was born December 8, 1918, in Philadelphia, son of Smith and Anna (Silas) Pollard. He had been a Stratford resident since 1950.
Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Debbie Heath of Newtown and Judy Cleveland of Stratford; a stepson, Louis Houle of Torrington; a stepdaughter, Leona Matty of Torrington; six grandchildren, David, Eric, Karl, Jamie, Edward, and Heather; eight great-grandchildren; and several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr Pollard was a US Army veteran of World War II and a member and past Master of America St Johnâs Lodge No. 8 AF & AM. He retired from Sikorsky Air Craft.
 Friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Friday, February 10, at 11 am in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main Street, Stratford. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford. Calling hours were scheduled Thursday, February 9, from 4 to 8 pm. A Masonic Service by America St Johnâs Lodge No. 8 AF & AM was scheduled Thursday in the funeral home at 7:30 pm.
