Warrant

Police report that on the night of February 1, they arrested James Dawson, 22, of Sherman at his home on a warrant, lodging a charge of failure to have automotive insurance in connection with a motor vehicle accident in Newtown last September 26.

Police said they released Dawson on $200 bail for a February 15 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.

Burglary/Larceny

Police received a report on the night of February 7 that a burglary/larceny had occurred at a home on Rowledge Pond Road, near the Monroe town line.

Police went to the scene to investigate and said they found that a large amount of jewelry and some electronic devices had been stolen in the incident. The loss is estimated at $25,000 in value, police said.
