SUNDAY, JULY 23 – The Bethany Carriage Rally will be held Sunday, July 23, at the Old Bethany Airport on Route 63. There will be classes for miniature horse, ponies, light horse and draft horse. For drivers, there will be classes for ladies, gents, juniors and dentured drivers. There will also be an obstacle course, reinsmanship class, a ride and drive class, and fun classes. It will be a fine time for novice drivers and horses or for people who just want to learn more about driving horses.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 15 – Feeds and Feeding: Understanding Equine Nutrition, a seminar hosted by equine nutrition specialist Tiffany Wyman, will be held on Tuesday, August 15, at 7:30 pm, in the upper meeting room of the Edmond Town Hall on Main Street. There will be door prizes, snacks, and plenty of information. The FREE seminar is sponsored by Nutrena Feeds, Out Front Feed & Supply of Monroe, and the Newtown Bridle Lands Association. SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 – The annual Easton Pace, sponsored by the Parish of Christ’s Church and the Exchange Club of Easton, will be held Sunday, September 24, from 8 am to 1 pm, at Lion Hill Farm, 1020 Sport Hill Road, in Easton. The pace will be open to all styles of riding. The terrain is about eight miles of mostly level riding with about 30 jumps of varying degrees of difficulty (all jumps have go-arounds). There will be Hunter, Pleasure, Western and Junior Divisions. There will be trophies and 10 ribbons for each division, plus participation ribbons for the Family Division. Additional awards will be presented for oldest, youngest, fastest and slowest. Teams must declare status and age at time of entry (junior/senior teams will be declared senior and for the purpose of this pace, ages 14 and under will be considered junior).
