Dr Marty Ortega, a wildlife biologist at the University of Connecticut, will discuss and show slides of his predator-prey work in the southern Chilean Patagonia on Thurs, Feb 3. The program will be part of the next meeting of the Housatonic Valley group of The Sierra Club. It will be presented at Newtown Congregational Church House, 41-A Main Street in Newtown.

Dr Ortega’s recent expedition involved working with Andean puma and guanacos, a wild relative of the llama.

The meeting/program will begin at 7:30 pm. The public is invited, free of charge. Parking is in the lot behind Newtown Savings Bank.
