Auctions To Benefit Cullens Youth Association
Auctions To Benefit Cullens Youth Association
The Cullens Youth Association is in the midst of a fundraising campaign to maintain and upgrade its facilities at its 20-acre property on Taunton Lake Road. The group has enlisted the help of the Applebrook Auction House to help with that effort.
Applebrook has agreed to auction household items for the benefit of Cullens Youth Association, and consequently the group is now looking for donations of furniture, china, paintings, fine carpets, and antiques. All items must be clean and in good condition. Clothes, jewelry, toys, sporting goods, or appliances will not be accepted.
The items will be placed among the lots auctioned off at the regular auctions every other Thursday, from 6 to 9 pm, at the Applebrook Auction House on Route 7, just north of the four corners in Brookfield.
Donated items for the auction may be dropped off at the Cullens Lodge on Taunton Lake Road at the following times: Saturday, October 28, from 10 am to 2 pm; Friday, November 3, from 6 to 8 pm; Tuesday, November 7, from 7 to 9 pm; and Wednesday, November 8, from 7 to 8 pm.
If you cannot make your donation at this time, you can arrange for a pickup by calling Linda Whippie at 426-6218 or Mike Heller at 426-7097.
Cullens Youth Association was founded over 70 years ago by the Rev and Mrs Paul Cullens. The organization is dedicated to the youth of Newtown and encourages citizenship, character, leadership, moral values, environmental awareness, duty, and honor through outdoor education.
