Dorothy Froelich McCroskery

Dorothy Froelich McCroskery, 88, wife of Allan L. McCroskery of Newtown, died March 9, at Danbury Hospital. She was born in New Rochelle, N.Y., April 10, 1921, a daughter of Elsie (Burgin) and Oscar Froelich.

Mrs McCroskery was a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and Columbia University Teachers College. Before retirement, she was an elementary school teacher in Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Stamford.

She was an accomplished pianist, sculptress, and painter.

In addition to her husband, Mrs McCroskery is survived by her children, Dr Peter McCroskery of Los Angeles and Katherine Duhamel of Reading, Vt.; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

The Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown is assisting the family.
