NEW YORK CITY, New York – Ch. Helfyre Little Pond’s Promise, the bulldog bred by Newtown breeder Sara Carnrick, might not have won Best in Breed at the 125th annual Westminster Kennel Club Show at Madison Square Garden, but Promise – the No. 1 bulldog bitch in the country – did come home with an Award of Merit.

“It’s a dream come true,” said Mrs Carnrick. “We were very gratified and excited.”

It was Promise’s first trip to Westminster.
