SANTA FE, N.M. — Altermann Galleries will present a group exhibition, “American Western Art Classic Invitational,” opening Friday, July 13, at the Santa Fe gallery at 225 Canyon Road.

Participating artists include Cyrus Afsary, Michael Coleman, Nicholas Coleman, Carl Hantman, Martha Pettigrew, Barry Eisenach, Stan Davis, John Fawcett, Tom Gilleon, John Jarvis, Gary Kapp, Kim Mackey, David Mann, Chad Poppleton, Gary Lynn Roberts, Gerald Shipen, David Wright, David Yorke and Kim Wiggins.

A selection of major works from private collections will also be included. Among them is a monumental 78-by-38-inch work by Gary Ernest Smith, “Spring Along the Yellowstone,” and “Molas Pass” by Curt Walters, 30 by 40 inches, initially exhibited at the Autry Museum, and major sculptures by Herb Mignery and Mehl Lawson.
