To the Editor:

I am writing this letter to endorse Kathy Fetchick for election to the Legislative Council from the Second District. I have become well acquainted with Kathy as a result of my position on the Board of Finance.

I am very impressed with Kathy’s knowledge of town issues and agree with her point of view as it relates to town expenditures. Like other current members of the Legislative Council, Kathy attends numerous additional board meetings in order to gain necessary background information on pertinent issues.

During my years of participation on boards and commissions, I realize there is a steep learning curve involved in order to become knowledgeable about issues facing the town. Kathy knows the issues because she has spent countless hours learning them. I feel strongly that you need vote for an incumbent because of the experience they have gained. Therefore, I encourage you to vote for Kathy Fetchick for the Legislative Council so she can continue her efforts on behalf of our town. Through her strong drive and determination, Kathy will best serve the needs of Newtown. Thank you.
