On Thursday, June 1, at 7:30 pm, “Eagle, Turkey, Vulture, Owls, and Parrots,” a talk featuring live birds, will be presented by Hope Douglas of Wind Over Wings in Westbrook. Ms Douglas’ personal experiences working with these birds will form the basis for the talk. She will bring a talking parrot as well as an eagle, turkey vulture and owls for a live demonstration.

The program will be hosted by Housatonic Valley Group of the Sierra Club. It will be held at Newtown Congregational Church Community Center, at 41-A Main Street, next to Newtown General Store. Parking is behind the building.

For information call 792-1209 or 775-9644. The public is welcome, free of charge.
