‘Tis The Season For Egg Hunts

Newtown Parks and Recreation will host its annual egg hunts this weekend at Dickinson Park on Elm Drive. Children will be divided into two age categories – ages 4 and under and ages 5 to 8.

The first event will be a flashlight hunt on Friday, March 14. Children will need to bring something to carry their eggs in as well as their own flashlight. This event will begin at 7:45 pm.

Then there will be a morning egg hunt on Saturday, March 15, with special guest the Spring Bunny. Children should bring something to carry their eggs in. There will be prize eggs throughout the hunt.

Parents can start bringing their children to the park as early as 10; the hunt will begin promptly at 10:30 am. The groups will be spread out between the tennis courts and in the field. Over 4,000 eggs will be placed.
