Cervical, Breast Cancer Screenings

BROOKFIELD — Cervical and breast cancer screenings will be held on Thursday, April 26, at the New Milford Hospital Health Care Complex in Brookfield from 6 pm to 7:30 pm, by appointment only.

The breast examination (not a mammogram) by the hospital physicians is free and includes instruction on self-breast exams. There is a $15 fee for the cervical exam that will include a Pap test.

Participants must be at least 18 years old. Women who are menstruating cannot be screened. Women cannot douche prior to screening. Women with previous abnormal pap tests or mammograms will not be screened (the only exception is women with no medical insurance).
