Mitten Tree Project At Police Station

Town police are sponsoring their 11th Annual Mitten Tree Project in the main lobby of the police station at Town Hall South, 3 Main Street.

At the mitten tree, which is a Christmas tree, residents are asked to leave donations of new mittens, scarves, jackets, and hats for the local needy. Garment donations will be accepted there daily, around-the-clock until January 1.

Donated garments will be distributed to the needy in town through social service agencies, police said.
