Stanton's Sells Grand Rapids Collection

VERMONTVILLE, MICH. -- A large all day auction that liquidated a private

collection brought in from the Grand Rapids area included everything from 300

pieces of Fiestaware to oak furniture, pottery, advertising, and a group of

Mission furniture and Arts and Crafts items at Stanton's Auctioneers &

Realtors.

The sale, conducted in Charlotte, Mich., brought the following prices: an

antique stoneware rolling pin advertising from Ovid, Mich. store, $450; modern

art glass perfume bottle, $380; Gouda covered ginger jar, $250; Rookwood aqua

vase, $210; green pottery hanging basket, $270; Roseville silhouette vase,

$320; Parrish Air Castle, $350; Parrish Girl at Mountains, $225; oak corner

cupboard, $1,500; oak pantry cupboard, $500; and oak sideboard with mirror,

$700.

A Gustav Stickley postal desk sold for $2,300; Stickley Brothers' chair, $200;

sideboard (oak), $500; Stickley sewing rocker, signed, $250; Stickley library

table, $375; Berkey and Gay bedroom nightstand with decoration, $600;

Plantation desk, $500; four Art Deco chairs with rattan seats, $600; Roseville

umbrella holder, grape pattern, $600; Roycroft wall sconce, $225; Fiesta

cobalt large mixing bowl, $330; and Fiesta cobalt sugar bowl, $280.
