A Community’s Good Will

To the Editor:

Kevin’s Community Center extends sincere apologies for omitting its renewed budget request to the Board of Selectmen for the 2009-2010 fiscal year. We would like to acknowledge the goodwill of our town leaders, and particularly Finance Director Robert Tait, for resubmitting last year’s request on our behalf.

The current downward trend in the economy is likely to have a significant impact on clinic operations. We continue to see increased demand for services as the recession deepens and layoffs become more widespread. We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation for the kindness of those who support our mission and to our town leaders who continue to provide the resources to help us achieve it. Our commitment to healing is sustained by the goodness of this extraordinary community. We are indeed fortunate to call Newtown home!
