Beloved Father And Grandfather
Joseph Rech, Jr, 85, of Fairfield, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Kiako Rech, died May 4 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on November 16, 1922, to Joseph and Anna Gombos Rech, Mr Rech was a Fairfield town resident most of his life.
Eternally cherishing and honoring his memory are his devoted daughters, Nancy Fraczek and her husband, Kirk, of Newtown, Karen Karker and her husband, Neal, of Stratford, and Janice Sature and her husband, Mark, of Fairfield. His most prized possessions were his seven grandchildren, Brennan and Justin Fraczek and their wives, Kristin, Neal and Ryan Karker, and Amanda and Alyssa Sature, as well as three great-grandsons, Gavin, Keenan, and Westley Joseph Fraczek. In addition, he will also be remembered by brother-in-law Nicholas Kiako and special nephew James Kiako. He also leaves treasured friends that cared for him during his illness, Miguel and Annie Santiago.
Mr Rech retired as a service technician for the Hoffman Fuel Company after 35 years of service. He was a longtime member of St Dimitrieâs Church and was a member of the church retirees group. He will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather, and will be deeply missed. He greatly enjoyed his family and the wonderful years he shared with them. He leaves them with his legacy to proudly carry on.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr Benjamin Weisman for his continual dedication, support, and friendship, and to all the wonderful people, doctors. and caretakers at the Ludlowe Center for Health and Rehabilitation.
Funeral services were held May 7 at St Nicholas Antiocan Church, Bridgeport. Burial followed in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
