IAIS Market Day Festival

WASHINGTON — The Institute for American Indian Studies will present its annual “Indian Market Day Festival” on Saturday, May 20, on the grounds of the museum, 38 Curtis Road.

Native American vendors and artists, Native American foods, a special program by Sharon Audubon on hawks and owls (at 1 pm), and music by Sirius Coyote (beginning at 2 pm) will all be offered during the day. The institute will also offer its regular permanent exhibits on Eastern Woodland Indians, indoors and outdoors, and several temporary exhibits for visitors to enjoy.

All presentations and museum privileges are included in the price of admission to the festival. Hours of the festival will be 11 am to 5 pm. Admission is $5 for adults, and $3 for children ages 6 to 16.
