A Spooky Classic

Is Coming To Town Players’ Little Theater

The Town Players are in rehearsal for “a play for people who like their coffee strong” an ample feast of the mysterious, uncanny and the supernatural, with their upcoming production of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, dramatized by Hamilton Deane and John L. Balderston.

The thriller is a dramatization of Stoker’s novel of the same name originally published in England in the late 1800s. The production is from the “original” play that first starred Bela Legosi in his now infamous and legendary role as the Count Dracula.

The Town Players cast includes Steve Affinito of Bethel as Renfield, Timothy Huebenthal of Southbury as Butterworth, Keilly McQuail of Newtown as Lucy, Matt McQuail of Newtown as Dr Seward, Doug Miller of Newtown as Van Helsing, Jenny Schuck of Danbury as Miss Wells, Richard Tovish of Monroe as Jonathan Harker, and Alexis Vournazos of Danbury as the Count Dracula. The play is being directed by Suzanne Kinnear of Bethel and the producer is RuthAnne Baumgartner of Fairfield.

Opening night will be Friday, October 28, and the production will run Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 pm through November 19.

There is a Sunday matinee at 2 pm on November 13.

Tickets are $15 for all evening shows, and $12 for the matinee.

The Little Theater is on Orchard Hill Road in Newtown. For reservations and/or directions, call the theater’s box office at 270-9144.
